Well, now it's your chance to turn any song into those exact images that flit through your mind the moment the notes float into your hearing range.
Here are some questions you might be asking:
What exactly is the challenge?
Choose any family-friendly song and snap any pictures that either illustrate the song or the feelings/mood the song conveys.
What kind of song do I use?
You can use any song! AS LONG AS IT IS RATED E FOR EVERYONE! (The portion of lyrics you post at least must be family-friendly.) Hymns are certainly a beautiful and all but forgotten art. On the other end of the spectrum, Weird Al is a lot of fun! Rock, rap, elevator music...I suppose even instrumentals could be used as all music invokes some sort of feeling. If you chose to use an instrumental, though, you might also post an audio or video sampling of the song.
Do I have to use the entire song?
Absolutely not, especially if the entire song is not Rated E for Everyone! Use just one verse, the chorus, 1 line, just the title. It's up to you!
When will the challenge take place?
I tend to take on more than I can handle, and the best way to combat this is to NOT take on more than I can handle. So...at least for now, I am only going to host one of these per month. I will post my lyrical photographs as well as the linky for the challenge on the first Tuesday of every month. I will leave the linky open for 2 weeks.
How do I participate?
Create a blog post on your blog that follows the rules as outlined above. Once I have posted the challenge for the month, scroll down to the bottom of my post and follow the instructions for the linky.
